Purple Thai

Purple Thai is old-school Thai spice and cocoa with a floral, incense-like lift. A landrace-style sativa from the seventies that almost nobody runs as live resin, which is exactly why it is on the Globs shelf.

Lineage

Highland Oaxacan Gold × Chocolate Thai. Two landrace sativas: the Oaxacan brings the floral, piney lift and the energy, and Chocolate Thai brings the cocoa, the spice and the long, dreamy, almost psychedelic character the old Thai sticks were known for.

In the jar

Cocoa powder and incense up front, then a spicy, floral, slightly piney middle and a dry sandalwood finish. Amber sauce with an aroma that smells like a different decade.

How it runs

Long, clear and a little trippy in the old sativa way. Creative and talkative, not jittery, with a slow fade. Not a quick in-and-out strain.
