Runtz needs no introduction — it took over cannabis so completely that half the menus in California are Runtz-something. Runtz De Jour is our backcross: Runtz BX1, bred back toward the original to lock in the traits that made it famous in the first place.
Why a backcross
When a strain gets popular, the cuts floating around drift. Backcrossing is how you drift it back — reinforcing the candy backbone and the creamy finish instead of diluting them under something trendy. This is Runtz the way it was supposed to taste.
In the jar
Ripe peach and tangy berry up front with a creamy finish that rounds everything off. Sweet without going flat — there's enough acidity in the profile to keep you coming back for the next dab instead of feeling done after one.
How it runs
Indica-leaning and easy. Melts the shoulders first, then settles in for a long, mellow cruise. A crowd-pleaser in the most literal sense.
Formats
Sauce only for this run — the crystals-in-terps format wears the candy profile best.
Where to find it
We run dispensaries statewide across California right now, San Diego to the Eastern Sierra. Pull up the live map to see who has Runtz De Jour on the shelf this week, or dig through the full archive. Riding for this profile? Check out Rainbow Belts next.
