No Torch Needed

A torch and a banger get the most out of a jar, but they are not the price of entry. If a full rig setup is not your thing, there are plenty of ways to run live resin with gear you already have. Here is the field guide.

Hash holes

The donut joint. Roll a thin snake of concentrate and lay it down the center of your flower bed before you close the joint, so the joint burns with a core of hash running through it. The concentrate burns slower than the flower around it, melting inward as you smoke and leaving the signature donut-shaped ash ring with a hole in the middle. That is the hash hole. Soft, malleable textures like badder roll into a snake easiest, especially after a minute of warming up.

Capping the bowl

The simplest move there is. Pack a normal bowl and set a small piece of badder or a scoop of sauce right on top. Corner the bowl and keep the flame at the edge rather than on the concentrate itself, letting the heat pull through. Slow, even burns beat direct fire every time.

Twaxing a joint

The lighter-touch version of a hash hole. Instead of a full core, run a thin line of concentrate inside the joint before you close it, or spiral a pulled string of it around the outside. Inside beats outside: concentrate on the paper burns unevenly and wastes what you paid for.

Puffcos and e-rigs

Purpose-built electric rigs vaporize concentrates at a set temperature with no torch in sight. Load a dab, pick the lower heat settings, and go. If your device shows degrees, 500 to 540 Fahrenheit is the sweet spot for live resin.

Dab pens and electric nectar collectors

Battery-powered and pocket-sized. Load a small dab into the chamber or touch the heated tip straight to the jar. Same low-temp rule applies: the lowest setting that fully vaporizes your dab is the one that tastes best.

Carts, obviously

The zero-setup option. Our carts run the same strain-specific live resin as the jars, in glass, off any standard 510 battery at 2.4 to 3.0 volts. No hardware to learn, nothing to clean.

Whichever route you take, start smaller than you think. Live resin is potent, and a rice-grain-sized piece goes further than most people expect.
